Law of Acquiescence

Can anybody please through some light on Law of Acquiescence and events on which the same shall be applicable ? Regards.

The principle of acquiescence is invoked mostly in matters arising out of contracts and matters where a person is required to have asserted his right or claim but chooses to keep quiet. In such cases, law does not come to the aid of the person who sleeps over his right.
