Can I use a certified copy of cross examination in a criminal case in civil case as a secondary evidence

Certified copy of cross-examination can be used and confronted to the witness as "primary" evidence.

You can use secondary evidence when primary evidence has lost otherwise no but certified copy is a primary evidence not secondary evidence in my view.
