Girl blackmailing me

One girl whom I thought my friend turned blackmailer and torturer of my life.
This girl loved me...but I was not in the situation to love anyone due to my family problems and im unemployed(searching job).
I was close with her but never in love matters..
but this girl doesnt understand even though I told everything in detail, tht i if marry now..bot will be in trouble, I cant think about marriage till 2 years, she is not listening, she started to curse my family and send irritating messages and calls, she is blackmailing me saying that she will commit suicide and tell my name as reason.
I am seriously in trouble I have my own problems and trying hard to deal with it.
I don't want my family members to know about this. How to stop her from blackmailing me? whom should I contact to solve this?
She said she will destroy me and my name.
she is capable of doing such acts ...that know of girl she is.
Kindly let me know as soon as possible.

Agree with the experts, You should record the threats, save the e-mails and messages and all proofs of her blackmailing to support your evidences.

Thanks to all who supported and replied to my query.
The problem is she didnot say what shes gonna do,but only she said wait and see ,i will start my game...
Whatever I sent messages to her when I was close(not anything related to love) ,just close friend messages,she told she is gonna use that and make it as proof that I loved her....!!
I am not worried about those messages because I know I didn't send anything wrong...but then I am only worried that these incidents I don't want my family or anyone to know these( I have good reputation with family and friends.
If I give police complaints ,then her future would be spoiled(since she is a girl)So I kept quite and wanted to stop it.
Ok, If there is no other option then definitely I will lodge a complaint against(for safety).
Kindly let me know if there is any other way.

I spoke to her and asked her to meet and talk.
Hope it get settles without any trouble.

We were close (just over the phone) , I have not promised marriage nor Love. From the beginning I was friendly, but when I noticed her closeness and her messages I got to know that she developed feelings...then I slowly gave hint about my uninterest towards marriage and I also mentioned that I have two sisters to get them married also I mentioned that I can't think about marriage till two years from now.I gave hint to her,that its not possible.
More than that, we are totally different,I am inclined towards and science & spirituality(interest of study), she doesnot lik that and ask me not to read those books...!! we are not compatible at all. And I am sure thats not love ,its just infatuation or need of companionship which arises out of lonliness.
I tried to make her understand in all possible angle,but in vain.
Now I just asked time for me,and talking nicely now...!hoping slowly she will understand me...

merely being friendly to girl doses not lead to blackmail . you must have had physical relations with her and promised her marriage .
if you have not had physical relation ship and never promised marriage you have nothing to fear

I only worried because she said she will cook story and spoil my name..she told she will call my parents and tell something..I dont want to spoil my name unnecessarily.

Be brave. It is she who has to worry for name spoilage. When you have not done anything, be cool and attend to your work.
