Effect of civil court on criiminal matters

My son filed applications for amendment of Written Statement, to prove cruelties committed by his wife. At the same time she not able to prove any cogent evidence to prove cruelty by my son, except her statement that she wants justice in criminal cases filed by her u/S 498A, DP Act and DV Act. Whether, such a situation can create any adverse effect of the criminal proceedings.
