Charge sheet not filed more than 5 years

Dear Experts Need your valuable suggestions for below my queries In a criminal case 7 were arrested two of them were main accused (they are till now not arrested) another 5 were arrest and remanded by police till now charge sheet not filed. 1.Can we file a FIR squash petition in High court? 2.Can we compromise in this case ? 1. Yes but chances are nil.
2.Yes depending upon the gravity of charges.

You can file a petition for splitting of the case, consult your advocate with this idea.

You may file a Writ of Mandamus against the Police for their inaction in filing charge sheet within 5 years and can pray for appropriate direction to accelerate the case pending in the court.
