Chs issues

(Querist) 07 October 2013 This query is : Resolved
Hello sir,

I have a query about cooperative housing societies.

Our society is 35 years old and in our last AGM the old committee has asked to change and bring in new committee but we have no one interested in taking the position of Secretary and Treasurer.

I wanted to know what will happen if there is no committee in the society...?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Sujata

if no member is willing to take over management of the society administrator would be appointed by Registrar . let some members come forward and manage the affairs . you can appoint a manager who will look after day to day management

Thanks Mr. Ajay.

Are Manager & Registrar 2 different person..?

Also does Registrar takes complete control of the society or how it works...?

What will be the minimum monthly fees for them..?

Registrar is a Govt. officer whereas the manager is the person appointed by the society. The fee can be changed also.

When it is your housing society somebody should come forward and take responsibility. If you leave on Registrar, everybody may face problems later.

agree with experts, nothing left to add

With the Govt. appointed management of society, problems may be to individual member. better choose from the members.

manager is appointed by society on full time or part time basis . Registrar is officer appointed by Govt for considering the complaints of members against society etc.

Dear Experts,

Thanks to all for your kind advice. I have my doubts clear on registrar.

The problem with our society management is that we are planning to go for re-development and half of the work is done by the old committee but now they want to leave their position and other members of the society are retired people and are quite old and have health issues and hence cant do much of work so not willing to take any position.

Is there any other solution apart from Registrar as you all mentioned that there are chances of society members facing problems in future.

Thanks in advance.

Pass resolution and appoint a paid secretary who will work under the guidance of elders.
