Hello sir
In court during trial my husband family argued that it was given for marriage expenses as money/amount transfered on different dates and given in instalments as per our covineince.
Now I would like to know whether the court going to believe them or not.

what were total marriage expenses ? who paid the bill for marriage expenses? was payment made by your parents by cheque ? if so then you cna demolish husband case as total amount for expenses were paid by you .

Agree with the experts. Were the cheques from your family in the name of venders of marriage i.e. Pandal wala, caters etc.which were given to them. If these were in the name of your in laws they will find it difficult to prove their stand.

Who so ever asserts, must prove. If the other side says that the money was transferred for the purpose of marriage expenses then let them prove otherwise this is a general contension that money from girl side obtained after engagement and between marriage is nothing but a demand of dowry,

Hi
Total marriage expenses were 4 lahs rs , My father has transferred 2 lakhs rs after the engagement as it was demanded by them in four installments.
Now they are telling that As we(boy side)want only well qualified girl we never demanded any thing and it was given by us (self desire/motivated) for marriage expenses. And they were telling (boy side)as there is no demand my father from his own desire ready to bear the all marriage expense and it was transferred into that context only. which is totaly false.
they have produced their own bills.
Whether the court going to believe them (boy side9 or me (girl side)

you have not answered my question as to whrther marriage expenses bill of rs 4 lakhs was paid your parents . court will verify the facts mentioned by both aprties and after going through evidence decide whether case for dowry harrasment is made out .

Hi Sethi sir
We don't have exact bill of Rs 4 lakhs but we have attached estimated bill of RS 4lakhs in the court.

What do you mean by estimated Bill?
What was the place of marriage?
Boy's or Girl's place?

Hi prabhakar sir
Marriage held at Boy's place.

Then expenses were also incurred at boy's place and the theory of probability is near their version.
My yet another question 'What do you mean by estimated Bill?' has been left unanswered by you.

Sir,
The estimated bill means we spend almost 4 lakhs but for each and every thing/expenses we dont have exact/printed bills so we have produced estimated bill.(which shows how much we spend on that particular occasion).

if payment made in favour of your husband by cheque after engagement then you take stand it was pursuant to demand of dowry . you have not issued any cheque in favour of any caterer, mandap contractor etc.

Hi Sir
Actually money was transffered by my father to my FIL A/C even than can I take stand ? or it must be transfferd to my husband A/C, than only it will be proov as a demand of dowry.

In the whole scenario, money was entrusted for expenditure by your F to his F as they were local and were understood to manage better.
The estimation bill is your own preparation that everybody can prepare.

Agree, estimated bill is not a valid proof.
