Singed blank cheque

One Company Gave me one contract(about 3 lakhs) , as security I gave my Voter ID card and Pan card photo copy along with One Blank Cheque(without date but singed by me) in sept 2010. I finished 75% of the work but I could not complete the rest of work due to funds.Now company is putting recovery on me around 3.5 lakhs. But mine 1.50 lakhs are pendind with the company. I am in a deep trouble. Please suggest me.

place it on record that you have completed 75%of work . that blak cheque has been give by you as security . request compnay to return blank cheque . send letter by speed post AD

As the company shall fail to establish its lawful debts towards you so its criminal complaint shall be dismissed whereas you may initiate legal action for the balance amount in consonance with the terms and conditions of your agreement duly executed.

I am a fool. I trusted the company(Manager) and did not take contract copy.Now Manager has moved to other place and company is not giving me copy. I am in a big trouble.
