I am gettings calls from some advocate that we have send legal notice and police action would be initiated, whereas i have not recieved any legal notice till date. What are the options in this case

Dear Client,
Did you do any crimes for which police would initiate any action. Please recall. In case you've not transgressed law there would be police action who may've issued legal notice to some advocate. You contact the advocate and find out what are the acts of offenses you've committed for which police want to initiate action.Come out with full facts then we'd be able to help you with our expert legal advice.

The case is regarding a consumer loan i had taken from a finance company about 4 years ago I had prepaid all my loan but still in their books they show some outstanding. I tried to contact them and showed them all the reciepts. I had mailed them the entire conversation with supporting documents but still i have not recieved NOC. I had registered complaints with their customer care but complaints were closed without any resolution. When i got tired of following them for this i ignored it.

Once you are clean in your credentials NO NEED TO FEAR ABOUT POLICE ACTION. If YOU GET legal NOTICE from the police you produce all the evidence you've in support of clearing the loan of Finance company in your reply.Then they may let you off the hook.

Such calls are from recovery agents appointed by the creditors. They try to instil fear into the borrowers to recover the dues. Take a tough stand and report the matter to Police. You can also file a suit for injunction. It is only a civil dispute and Police has nothing to do with it.

Record all calls.
Lodge complaint with MD of the company, RBI, police..............under proper acknowledgment.
