Is license required for opening play/nursery school

Dear Sirs,

My Wife plans to Open a Play/Nursery school in a Garage area in a residential building which we plan to have on rent and I would like to know

1. If We are required to obtain a Gumasta-Shop License
2. Also is there any other formalities required

There are various restriction, rules and regulations governing running of a school which differs from state to state, check with Directorate of Education (your state) and consult/engage a local lawyer.
