investigation procedure

After charge sheet I found the E.B. officer who prepared seizure list at 6.30pm becomes the I.O. Of the case on the basis of complaint lodge by his collegue at 8.00pm at local P.S. And is also in the raiding team. Can I get any benefit in case?
