Conversions just to defeat personal law of marriage and to marry with one more without reposing genuine FAITH in adopted religion may not be recognized by courts.

However procedure is that if anyone has a real desire to be a Muslim and has full conviction and strong belief that Islam is the true religion of God, then, all one needs to do is pronounce the “Shahada”, the testimony of faith.

To convert to Islam and become a Muslim a person needs to pronounce the below testimony with conviction and understanding its meaning:

I testify “La ilah illa Allah, Muhammad rasoolu Allah.”i.e.,“I testify that there is no true god (deity) but God (Allah), and that Muhammad is a Messenger (Prophet) of God.”

When someone pronounces the testimony with conviction, then he/she has become a Muslim. It can be done alone, but it is much better to be done with an adviser Mulla or Maulvi.

Following are a few lines from SC judgement:

Smt. Sarla Mudgal, President, ... vs Union Of India & Ors on 10 May, 1995
Equivalent citations: 1995 AIR 1531, 1995 SCC (3) 635

“ the second marriage of a Hindu- husband after conversion to Islam, without having his first marriage dissolved under law, would be invalid. The second marriage would be void in terms of the provisions of Section 494 IPC and the apostate-husband would be guilty of the offence under Section 494 IPC.”

Conversion in Islam for the purpose of re-marriage is illegal as already told to you and if you violate this law, not only your conversion shall be held illegal but also your second marriage as illegal.
