Force marriage

I have a query? I want to marry the girl i love, so do she. but her family got her engaged forcefully & now planning for marriage. What can i do on legal grounds? If i elope with her & marry, then what are the procedures to stay out of troubles.

If you both are major, take a decision discuss with the elders and get marry to aovid the distrubances, if they agreed it is ok if not you both take decision and get marry.

You cannot do anything. You have no claim on her life. Both of you are bound to forget each otherin next 24 months.

Again such force inly the girl has locus standi to make complaint .
You have no right to lodge any complaint though you may well elope and get married and thereafter seek protection of Police.

You can approach to high court and seek protection from high court against the any hindrance created by any one in the way of your marriage. Since both parties are major no one can force them to marry any other person against their wishes.

Much depends on the girl,if she can regist her parents you both can marry.if you believe she shall state in your favor file a writ in high court.

if girl wants to marry you and is a major go and meet her parents . if parents refuse to consider you as future son in law forget the girl .
