Once you pass llb and get yourself enrolled with the bar council of your state , you can make practice in any branch of law.

There are two types cases handled by the law firms, litigation and non litigation.
Without registering in BC, You can join in a law firm for doing non litigation works.

Without enroling yourself with the Bar council as an advocate, you cannot appear in court and practice the legal profession.

You can do all other jobs in legal field - except appearing in Court as advocate for a party - you can not practice as advocate without enrolling yourself as advocate in Bar Council.

Author needs to wait for three years and assess the job market then to choose the prospects of a law graduate as the same is highly volatile now. Better focus on studies to gain a law degree

"Future" in your dictionary means whether "Earning money" or "Getting opportunities in Legal field (by whatever designation)"?

Both are of equal importance.

For earning money, you may join a better job in a legal department.
For getting opportunities, you may join a law firm and appear as an advocate in various courts of law.

Its upto your talent that what you are searching right now, if you go for money then join LPO's and if want to excel in this field and have resources to back you then first join any good Advocate in Civil Law first and later move to High Court but dont directly jump to High Court as you will be missing the basics of the Trial Courts/ District Courts which cannot be taught by any High Court Lawyer.
It is always to start from the lower point of the system and then after going for around 3-4 years move to High Court and there also go for some 5-6 years and then see yourself as a legal expert or better concentrate on your studies so that while practicing you dont have to study LL.B again as I am seeing many budding lawyers are doing this mistakes.
All the best.
