Maximum age

Is there any maximum age to employ a person in private sector. I mean suppose if i want to take a person who is more than 60 years of age, as employee in a private organisation any law restrict that. If so under what law and how i need to take him other than an employee.

hope my queiry is clear and somebody would answer.

Every organization in private sector have their own rules for the age of the employees. Law has not fixed any age for it.

No law prohibits if the organization thinks fit to appoint a person of its choice.

thanks for your replies and but why Mr.ajay sethi advised to take him as consultant. what is the reason for taking as consultant if it is explained i will be very much thankful.

There is no law that restricts an employer employing employees more older than 60 and they can be employed in any capacity employer and employee agree.
It was Mr. Sethi's off hand remark that a person so senior in age should be employed as consultant.
