Can we lodge advace complain to police station about bad behaviour of wife

Sir/Madam,

Can we Lodge Advance Complain to Police Station regarding Bad behavior of wife, as she is threatening to lodge false charge on family. So we want to defend our side by advance informing Police about the matter by writing. Will it be helpful, if in future she complain to police about Domestic Violence. I mean to say is there any process which will help in protecting us from any police case against us lodged by her or her family.

if your wife is threatening to lodge false complaints against your family record her threats . lodge police complaint of criminal intimidation against wife .

You can not lodge advance complaint only on the basis she want to lodge FIR against you. However if she is threatening on false grounds you can lodge.

There is no concept of advance complaint.

Making threats and abuses is also a criminal offence for which you can always lodge complaint with Police.
The irony is in spite of lodging multiple complaints you can not avoid starting 498A case against you.

Straight away you can file a criminal case against your wife u/s.503 IPC stating threats in details after recording the same by using electronic gadget as proof thereof and serve summon to your wife. subsequently you can enjoy option for compounding the offense before the Magistrate.
