Stock transfer

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 06 January 2012 This query is : Resolved
Hi,

stock transfer from state to state (warehouse)of the predetermined sales, as we know to whom goods are to be supplied at the time of such transfer therefore

Wheter it is an Interstate Sales liable to CST @2% subject to ‘C’ Form or it 0% agst Form 'F'
Anirudh (Expert) 06 January 2012
Dear Anonymous,
If the movement of goods is based on the pre-determined sales, THOUGH YOU MAY CALL IT STOCK TRANSFER FROM STATE TO STATE, in reality it is nothing but inter-State sales. Accordingly, it will be charged to CST. If Form-C is produced it will attract concessional CST at 2%. If Form-C is not produced it will attract CST at normal VAT rates.

In respect of pre-determined sales, the question of Stock-transfer or Form-F does not at all arise.
