Can a police inspector record your face to face conversation with him with a mobile in his pocket without informing you? Is this recording admissible in court?

The police inspector no doubt is not authorised to record such thing but who cares, the law makers are the law breakers, it will be easy for the police to flout the rules in this regard.
If you are aggrieved by this action you may make a representation about this with his higher official, however please be aware that this may not be admissible as evidence in court.
