Abusing email

My own relative has sent abusing email to me with all filthy rotten language in respect of my decent message. What action I can take for his email in the court of law, can you please suggest ?

you can file complaint for the offence of Sec 504 IPC in court.

Send him a legal notice demanding for compensation for the mental agony. He may stop this. If he is continuing this you may lodge a police complaint.

since he mail is one to one then defamation is not made out.

Yes mental agony is certainly made out. It is subject as to how much physical (BP/depression/sugar etc)or mental hurt you experienced on this.
