Time barred period for a will

(Querist) 16 September 2013 This query is : Resolved 
Sir,
If the property is properly distributed as per a unregisterd will,can any beneficiary
challenge the will in a court after a period of 12 years or it is a time barred case ?
please advice.

Dear Client,

You can challenge the bequests made under an unregistered Will even after the period of limitation expires, if you discover fraud or if there was a genuine mistake and you'd acted and exercised due diligence etc in not detecting the fraud or mistake within the period of limitation.
