Dear all,
I had filed a private complaint for forgery, the charge sheet has been submitted to court with A report about 3 months ago. My lawyer is not updating me anything on the progress! what would be the next steps after Police filing the charge sheet court?

why do you blame the lawyer ? why dont you visit the court when case is on board ? obtain copies of roznama . you will come to know what has transpired in court

Follow up the case by persue Cause List and and get Certified Copy of order.You have liberty to change the lawyer.

Attend the court on every date and if you do not trust your lawyer then, change the lawyer.

Don't blame lawyer to visit the court on each date when the case is on. If you are not satisfied with your lawyer then change the lawyer.

Thanks each one of you who have responded to my query :)
I stay nearly 1200+ Kms away from the town where the case has been filed, and I've been attending all the dates without fail.
Some of the dates are not told to me by my lawyer is the concern here!
Thanks Ajay Ji, for the update. What's Roznama? as a plaintiff am I allowed to apply for a certified copy of the order? should it be only on the case date or can I apply for this on any working day?
I'm asking too many queries, as I've totally no clue on the proceedings, I've blindly gone with what my lawyer wanted me to do all these years.
Your guidance and help would be of at most support to me.

Your lawyer can definitely seek exemption for you under section 205 of criminal procedure code and the copy of Roznama can be obtained from police station even under RTI.

THanks Raj Ji, I understand Roznama means Chargesheet! if that's the meaning then I've a copy of charge sheet from the police which is submitted to the court.
What I need to know is how do I find out what has happened in the last 3 months from the date of filing the charge sheet to the court till now... as the experts suggested above I'll be visiting the court clerk seeking a copy of the file proceedings so far... that should give me a clarity as to if is a foul play played by lawyer...

Rojnama is a word used in various States in different contexts. The word used by Ajay in his reply do not mean Charge-sheet rather it means the Order-sheet of the court wherein the day to day proceeding of a particular case is got written under the signature of that judge.
You should apply the certified copies of the order sheet against the hearings falling within last 3 months.
