Initially the court will adjourn the case. If you fail to attend repeatedly, then the court will decide the mattern on its merits after recording your absense.
Devajyoti Barman (Expert) 18 January 2012
The court after giving chance of appearance would ultimately hear the matter Ex parte.
However ex parte hearing needs to be done like regular trial of a suit except cross examination and there is no guarantee that it would be allowed only because it is hear ex parte.
Advocate Bhartesh goyal (Expert) 18 January 2012
If husband remains absent on hearing date the court will not decide the case on same day or forthwith but pass ex-parte order against husband and on next hearing date after recording ex-parte evidence court will decide the case on merits.

I have no reason to differ with the detailed advice of the experts.
