what is the limit of alimony in etah district of u.p. and i had divorce, my wifes charges of impotency and misbehave for dowry were proved false by the kanpur court and on merit court gave me the divorce decree as the girl refused to come back.is she entitled for maintainence.

The limit of alimony depends upon so many factors and is not decided on the district.

In the given facts wife would get maintenance is doubtful.

Even your ex.wife has no sufficient means to maintain her, she shall continue her maintenance from you.

Quantum of alimony is not subjected to geographical jurisdictions.It is awarded on consideration of capacity of purse of party obliged to pay and on disability to earn of party entitled to get it.

A divorced wife can claim maintenance till she does not remarry, but a wife who willfully refuses to live
along with husband without any just and reasonable cause is not entitled to any maintenance.

No limit, that depends upon your earnings vs. her earnings, not on place or territory. When divorced, she is entitled for maintenance.
