Regarding sc caste

actually my caste as per study documents of my father is mahar..(sc).and our whole community follow everything of mahar(sc)..bt as i belong to a very backward region of bastar..bijapur. census record registered it as mahara....as in our mother tongue (marathi-mixed with local languages so distorted a bit) mahar is pronounced as mahara. so now m facing problem regarding caste veryfication. what can be done..plz help me out.

follow the procedure prescribed in the state...it will be better for you to visit some lawyer who knows the entire procedure at Sub Divisional level.

your problem is on administrative side so get it sorted out as per rules.

As there shall not be any caste in State list of castes in name of Mahara so you can easily interprate it as Mhar and can also file an affidavit in support of your argument.

mr. raj...problem is that mahara is also a caste which belongs to obc category.. till now we believed we are mahar....and we have sc certificate but on verification we could bring documents of 60s that show mahar in study documents but before 50 we dont have any study document of my father..and the land documents have registered it wrong. this is problem of whole of my community.

some thing interesting.. i thing you can give a representation to the tashildar., to do correct the mistakes in community certificate.. there is no fruitful result mean just go to high court for filing writ petition

sir they will b asking for the proof...documents before 1950s...which contains mahara.....i want to ask... who knws better than us...which caste we belong to. hw to prove ur caste other than through documents.
