My friend has been punished in the trial court at Chenglepet, Tamil Nadu in a criminal case. He wants to file appeal before the High Court, Chennai. What is the time limit for appeal? Can any one suggest any good senior lawyer having good exposure in Criminal Cases at Chennai? The evidence filed by my friend has been completely brushed out and the prosecution version without any evidence and based on the sole investigation officer testimony, has been accepted by the court. Please oblige.

I wanted to know that how to calculate bonus on the lump sum amount of salary. I have case of an employee who is working since 1997 in a proprietorship firm. His salary was not bifurcated till FY. 16-17. He was getting salary in lump sum as mentioned below:

This is what I have made a calculation of his bonus payable for the entire period of services. Please rectify if it is wrong. And suggest the right and appropriate case.
As he is not been paid any amount of bonus in any financial year. Please tell, is he eligible for the bonus upto date from the past years of his services or not ?

Kindly let me know if min wage act applies to a cancer care NGO that provides pre & post operation counselling free of cost. The NGO also provides specialised nursing faciity, also free. The patients need to put on life saving external appliances on their bodies for life. These appliances are made available to patients at cost. They are given free* for the poor & needy. Income is mainly from these supplies+donations from patients. No govt grant/subsidy.

Dear Sir,
I have a flat in Lower Parel available for rent. I found a potential tenant via no-broker on 28thJune. We agreed on rent + deposit (INR 37,000+ 1 Lakh Deposit) and he gave INR 6,000/- as token amount. The agreement was finalized on 28th June itself and it was decided that we will do the registration on 1st July itself so that he will move on 1st July which was a Saturday.
Later on Friday evening he informed us that Saturday won't work for him on registration and hence we moved the registration on 3rd July, Monday. He as given a cheque for deposit amount on Friday which was dated 3rd July we we could not deposit till Monday.
Yesterday he had called to say that he wants to move on Sunday which we refused as there was not agreement + deposit money in hand. I told him that Monday morning I will deposit his cheque of 1 Lakh on Monday and at the time of registration which was today at 10 am I will handover the key. That guy then said that he wants key on Sunday itself and then cancelled the deal.
My question - Was I right in my stand? I did not have any document how can I handover the key? I was paid 4000 advance for registration as well to a lawyer. Now this guy is asking 6000/- refund. Am I liable to pay him the token amount back?
Please give your valuable inputs.

I have joined an jntuh affiliated college after completing my first semester I am no longer can pursue my engineering due to my financial state. My college is asking me to pay remaining 3 year fee. What am I suppose to do now.

Pune university runs masters of marketing managmemt(MMM)course which is 2year full time marketing course which is ugc and aicte approved masters degree and is equivalent to mba marketing. But in 2014 ugc has changed the nomenclature of degree (MMM) to mba marketing. My problem is weather my degree(MMM)will be considered as Mba marketing or not. i got selected in ibps so marketing but as per their notification their reqirement is Mba,mms,pgp ,pgdm(marketing) and so my degree is not mentioned in their list. I doubt wheather i will be regected by bank during joining .why our course MMM is not mentioned in gov job(ibps so marketing) notification despite it is eqivalent to Mba marketing and is ugc approved degree better then any private college degree in marketing.

Hello. I have recently joined bom one month back. But due to personal reasons I have to leave the job. I have signed and submitted a security bond of one lac. And in my appoitmnet letter a 3 months notice period is mentioned before resigning plus if dot full fill notice period, the salary amt equal to 3 months needs to be paid along with the bond. Otherwise just the bond amt. The company has not spent a penny on my employment as there was no training provided nothing. I wish to know if I leave will I have to pay bond amt and 3 months salary???

Transfer of property from bother's name to my name
Dear Sir,
1. The property in question is a CGHS flat at Gurgaon and in the name of my brother.
2. Entire purchase price was paid out of the sale proceeds of the flat which was in the name of my mother who has expired two years back.
3. I have paid substantial amount to my brother to clear his dues from private lenders.
4. My brother's share in the property is equal to the money I have paid to him.
5. For the purpose settling the share in the property, my brother has executed a GPA in my name for putting property on rent or sell etc.
My query: 1. Whether on the basis of this GPA I can sell the property?
2. Whether I can receive sale proceeds in my name?
3. Do I have to transfer the property in my name in Registrar Office and HUDA and Society Records?
4. For completing above transfer, is it OK to mention family settlement as reason for such transfer?
