Hi experts. Plz I need ur advise urgently. My sister's marriage was arranged with a guy in Dehradun. We belong to Panipat. First before engagement when they came to meet us they, guy's family said they font need any dowry. But soon after engagement they started showing their true colors... They asked a lot of dowry after engagement was done. Somehow my father succumb tobthem and we agreed to their demands of dowry. But looks lyk they never had enough. Now the wedding is due on Saturday, 18th jan,2014. And just today they are still asking a lot. When refused they said they don't want this relationship and said to come and collect whatever we have given. My father has spent his entire savings in the arrangements and he is under credit till neck. He was literally crying today..
sir plz help me wat legal action can be taken. I mean can we file a complaint againt them. Say for dowry demand or molesting my sister as , if the marriage broke just before three days it will be really difficult for us to find a new match for my sis..
plesse reply. Ivreally need some guidance. My brother is planning to take some drastic steps. I dont want to see him turning into a crimal. Neither do I know any political or social person.. Plz also reply at. "mr.rohitkatariya@gmail.com"

I am a person of 40 years of age and divorced. I got divorce 7 years ago. I have a son of 10 years of age. My wife and son are staying with her parents at Nagpur and my wife is working there and hence I am exempted from paying alimony to her but paying Rs5000/- pm as child maintenance. I have not been working for last 3 years and it may not be possible for me to work in future as well due to various reasons like feeling of dejection, not getting along well with superiors at the work place etc.. My divorced wife is not aware of this as my father is paying this child maintenance through me. My wife, now, is demanding Rs7000/- pm as child maintenance because of inflation. My father is not able to pay this increase. How do I get out of this?

Under Section 28 of Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, what are the appellate powers of District Court. In my case, divorce petition has been allowed by Civil Judge Senior Division, however, claim of lumpsum maintenance has been rejected. Hence, I want to prefer appeal. Can District Court amend the judgement and decree only to the extent of maintenance and reverse only those findings keeping decree of divorce as it is? What are the powers of District court under Sec.28 of Hindu Marriage Act? Please advise.

dear experts,wife filed dv act section 12,23,23(2)18,20,22.interim maintenance of 4000 passed for wife and husband didn't paid yet.husband filed rcr,child cutody.please let me know if husband not paid the maintenance will the court issue arrest warrant for husband.becoz if husband filed rcr then it means he wants to keep his wife.is there a chance for arrest warrant against husband.when wife leaves the matrimonial home she gave in writing on stamp paper that she is withdrawing the society on her own will.and husband has the recording of wife and her father which they are saying that after having two kids we will give him poison and take over the whole share of him.

Then what is meaning of those various citations from Various Higth court or Suprime court.Where capable wife is denied maintenance.

Hi,
Separated from last 3.5 yrs
Case crpc 125 fighting since last 1 yr
Wife is BE chemical but currently not doing job. I have Provided her 3 job’s detail (2 before marriage and after marriage of salary 10000). She denied after marriage job in her cross
I’m Mechanical engg doing job but not admitted in court. Also they even not provided any evidence abt my current job
she expecting maintenance = 15000.
Query :-
I have submitted my evidences of her earlier job on my cheaf. Last date I have done with my cross but still on given documents I have not got exhibit nos.
Now on date 25 Jan is my next date & I have to submit written arguments and I need Exhibit nos for the same. I insisted my judge about exhibit nos. He told me that on arguments date we will give you exhibit nos.
But my question is how to give references of evidences without exhibit nos in my written arguments?
how to get opposite party's exhibit nos?

Please let me know what are the conditions for a wife to get maintenance from husband under 125. I have read somehwere that first condition under 125 is - for a wife to get maintenance under 125 is that she must be not be capable to survive herself. e.g how can a illiterate woman and a woman having masters degree can be treated equally.

Hi Experts,
I got married 4 years ago to a girl from relatively rich family. We have 3 year old son. initial 7-8 months her behavior was good but later on her parents changed her completely as they are control freak people. My wife is BDS, running a clinic and I am software professional. Our marriage was arranged. Her nature is very adamant and arrogant & whenever my mother comes to stay with us, she starts fighting and then my mother goes back to our village even I insist to stay with us. As my father passed away 3 years back, I dont want to keep my mother away from me. even sometimes, it became too difficult to deal with my wife, I have slapped her 4 times. Two times she went to police station but did not register a complaint just asked police to threaten me. And police did the same as She goes there and cries and describes myself as a villain. since last one month, I am staying away from her, now She is saying that she is ready to change and can accept my mother and try to live happily for the sake of son. But it has become very difficult for me to trust her now, as if I go back then she may file complaints against me and my mother. so even if I compromise and start staying with her along with my mother, can i take something in written which can safeguard me in case she changes her mind and tries to harass me? and not allowing my mother to stay with me - can this account to mental cruelty against me and can I file for divorce on this basis? The problem is I have lost faith in this relationship and fear that leaving with her can turn risky for me. Please suggest.

My query is this if any person wants to change their religion who is a hindu,as he want to convert in muslim so which law will apply to him.
