WIFE & SON

My wife left us 10 months back. She was pregnant and on that pretext her father took her away that he will take care of the delivery. But in pregnant condition my wife joined a semi govt residential project school as teacher. She didnt inform me or my parents abt her joining the service. Myself and my parents requested her infinite number of times to return to my place. but she refused giving excuses of her pregnancy. She cant return back in pregnant condition but she can work in pregnant condition. My wife and her parents putting false allegations that we have tortured her physically and mentally. Though they didnt file any FIR u/s 498A or file any case in the Court.Due to all this anxiety and tension my father expired. My wife gave birth to a baby boy. After her delivery she still didnt want to come and she will join back her service after her maternity leave expires. My mother is alone. She is ready to come back only on one condition that i have to leave my mother. How can that be possible. My father is no more today. My mother is 72 yrs old, sick and a widow. Today whatever i`m because of my mother who did extreme sacrifices in bringing me up. My wife is threatening me to file a maintenace case against me. I`m ready to take care of my mother, my wife and my son but for that she will have to come and stay with me and not at her parents house. My wife also have certain responsibilites towards me and her inlaws. In general she and her parents wants that she will do the service from her parents house, keeping the baby with her. And i have to do the duty of Husband & father thought i`l not have any rights as husband or as father. Please help / advice me what to do.

What if respondent not answer questions in cross-examination

If the respondent refuses to answer some of the questions during cross-examination in divorce case irrespective of whether they are relevant or not, can judge assume he is in fault or draw adverse inference against him?
Do respondent have the right to remain silent during cross? If yes, what are the possible consequences of it?
