Sale deed in case of checque dishounered

Hi,

I have purchased a shop for 12 lakhs and issued a cheque for 11 lakhs during sale deed registration. I have suffecient funds to clear the cheque given to seller.

After registration seller told me that the sale deed gets cancelled in case cheque is dishounered due to any reason. my only worry is, what if the cheque is dishounered due to any mistake on the content (signature mismatch or any corrections, not sure at this point). The cheque details are mentioned in the sale deed.

In case of any issue with the cheque I am ready to issue a new cheque or can pay by cash.

In this case, will the sale deed gets cancelled / become invalid as we have mentioned the cheque details in the sale deed?

Thanks
Kiran

Landlady is threatening to disconnect the electricity

I am staying in a rented apartment in Gurgaon and due to earlier non cooperation by my landlady a deadlock exists between us.

I have paid my electricity and maintenance dues to the Management Committe of the society where the apartment is located, however, as there is a deadlock I have stopped paying the rent for the last two months.

In light of the above, can the landlady pressurise and force the management committee to disconnect my electiricity supply which she is threatening to do so. If no, then what steps can I take to safeguard myself.

An early reply will be highly appreciated.

Thanks for your help and support.

Mother's right on deceased son's ancestral and self acquired property

My mother is unemployed.I am the only daughter of my parents. My father passed away in 2005(Dec 10).My father have four brothers and a sister.Ancestral property was divided without the knowledge of my father and he was given 12 cents with no route to enter it.Now that my father is no more, my grandmother who did not even care how we are struggling to live after my father's death are threatening to take a share of all my father' property. As mentioned earlier she have four other sons and is also a pensioner. My question is does she have any eligibility in my father's share?(According to the will(written before 1997) of my grandfather(he died in 1999) ,12 cents went to my father and after my father's death ,we transferred it into our name(me and my mother's).
