Water tank

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 09 September 2011 This query is : Resolved
is there need to take permission from a municipal office to set up water tanks in our own house?
if not can municipal corporation claim to be unauthorized??
what does sec 471, sec 272 and sec 461(b) of the municipal act states????

well i presume you are talking about a flat in cooperative society . ideally if you want to install storage tank in your flat BMC permission is required . each society has underground and over hand water tanks . if you want to install a tank in your flat you will be depriving other members in society of water . hence permission is required

I think, Usually your building approval should include your tank details also.

If the house is your own you should get permission from the municipality at he time of sanction of building plan.If it is a apartment build by the promoter or co-op.society it is their duties to get a permission.
