In the case of NBW (u/s 70 of Cr.P.C)issued from another state, should the Officer effecting the arrest take the accused to the court which issued the warrant or to the magistrate in whose jurisdiction he was arrested. Also, from wher I could get a copy of arrest memo and remand application.
adv. rajeev ( rajoo ) (Expert) 26 April 2011
Yes, accused will be produced before the court which has issued NBW. You can get the certified copy of the ordersheet from that court only.
Arvind Singh Chauhan (Expert) 26 April 2011
If the location of court is within the reach of police station to produce him within 24 hours, he can be produced, from where warrant was issued, other wise police can produce before the nearest magistrate and may ask for transit remand. Copies can be obtained form court.

The accused will be produced before the Local Magistrate court of the place of Arrest. With the permission of the court, once again they can produce before the Magistrate who ordered NBW.

Mr. Tom is wrong if the transit time is more than 24 hours than once the accused will be produced to the nearest magistrate and then to the next court who issued NBW
