Verbal and written threatening from neighbor

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 28 January 2012 This query is : Resolved
The first floor family complains about seepage problem in their bedroom from our bathroom (2nd floor). I've got my bathroom repaired for 4 times(all the times, the repairing cost was borne by me). Still they complain that th problem is not resolved and they have filed a police complaint regarding that. What should I do? Please guide. Thanks.

in the vent of water seepage from your bathroom the costs of repairs have to be borne by you and your neighbour equally .

you have to in your statement before police mention the fact that you have repaired bathroom 4 times already .

you can ask the neighbour to shell out 50%cost of repairs .

i feel its not a fit query to post here..

even they can not lodge any police complaint regard this issue..

whats his verbal and written threaten? then you should be as the complainant rather than him?

You should lodge a counter complaint to the Police and also Municipality then file a case u/sec.107 Cr.P.C. in Executive Magistrate Court.

In my opinion this is not a matter of police complaint. If there is any problem in seepage it can be amicably decided by you and your neighbour or through the building committee.

Resolve with Co-op Society, if flat in CHS Ltd.
If Pvt Buildings, ask civil court to engage Architect to solve with people guarantee Water Proofing for ten years, Usually it is corroded water pipes inside wall, that leaks within walls.

Health and hygiene is most important, money matter settle later on.

First you should repair your bathroom leak, it must be great annoyance where it is leaking.

You must have compromised on quality and not given work to proper person since such type of problems are in every multi story buildings and expert set right such problems in no time.

In spite of advice by other experts do not remain in over confidence since police/ criminal case can be against you.And whatever you are trying to save on repairs its multiples will have to be given to legal system plus harrassment and time.

HAVE COMPASSION FOR OTHER HUMAN BEINGS.

Now Complaint to Society Lakshya CHS, and Attach its copy to Asst Registrar to comply , and inquiry.
Arvind Singh Chauhan (Expert) 28 January 2012
Instead of quarreling, you both should collectively complaint to concern society for this faulty construction.
If no action is taken by society, issue notice and file complaint to consumer forum or file civil suit for the remedy.
