Unnecessary adjournments

(Querist) 20 June 2014 This query is : Resolved 
Respected Seniors!

An appeal was preferred by the Accused on Conviction before Sessions Judge and on service of notice to respondent, respondent appeared and filed his written arguments and is now for about 10 months, whereas the Advocate for Appellant never turning up and seeking unnecessary adjournments and as well as the Hon'ble judge is pleased to grant the same since past 10 months.
now what is the way to avoid this delay in proceedings, shall i approach High Court or a letter to Registrar judicial will do. please advice.

Orally submit before the Sessions Court, if donot decide expeditiosly, move to High Court for issuance of necessary directions.

Your advocate may press the issue of long pending before the appellate court and request for early disposal in the next hearing, if your advocate also keeps mum about the issue, the court will keep granting time, further, it is just 10 months from the date of filing the appeal, you may wait for little more time which generally takes, also, since it is the appellant who has to worry about this and not the respondent to this extent.
