Renovation disturbance

i am a residence of L.I.G flat ground floor..my 1st floor neibhour started renovation...which cause lot of noise and disturbance to my infant baby girl of 2 months...what can i do to stop this renovation according to law.

timings can be laid down for carrying out work . no work to be carried out in afternoon . or after 7pm at night . if flt is in cooperative society then while granting permission society can lay down timings for work to be carried out

He may be told clearly about the problem, appraise the matter to the society. If all avenues exhaust file police complaint.

But since renovation work is necessary for them, they cannot be totally prohibited from carrying it out.

Renovation is nuisance which has to be tolerated till it is done. Only its timings can be regulated on demand.

You could call police if:-


(i) you can prove that it is illegal to renovate his house.

(ii) it is illegal to renovate house with sound.

(iii) your right of residence is paramount to his right.
