Power-of-Attorney empowering the Attorney to give Power-of-Attorney on behalf of the Principal

(Querist) 13 April 2011 This query is : Resolved
I was wondering whether there is any legal bar to executing a Power-of-Attorney by the Principal in which the Attorney is empowered to execute further Powers-of-Attorney on behalf of the Principal. Any clarification would be appreciated.
Atuliya (Expert) 13 April 2011
No there is no such bar. Unless ofcourse if you have specifically debarred your constituted Attorney from appointing any other agent

Just like vakalatnama

The power once delegated cannot be delegated further this is one of the principle of natural justice.
Advocate Bhartesh goyal (Expert) 13 April 2011
Yes,Mr Gulshan is absolutely right,Power once deligate can not be deligate further.
Sri Vijayan.A (Expert) 14 April 2011
I slightly disagree with Atuliya.
If the power to further delegation is not available specifically in the document, further delegation is not possible.
As such further delegation is possible subject to various conditions laid down in the principal GPA document.
DEFENSE ADVOCATE.-firmaction@g (Expert) 14 April 2011
Well further delegation from natural persons is debatable it is allowed for un natural persons such as company , firm ,trust etc.
Advocate. Arunagiri (Expert) 14 April 2011
If further delegation is specificaly allowed in the POA it can be done.
Syed Jawad Quader (Querist) 01 June 2011
is there any bar in the law to further delegation? if so, what is that bar? i have not come across any such bar in my research. i am inclined towards Mr. Arunagiri's opinion in the absence of any such expressed bar.
