Power of attorney

Dear Sir,

My Power of Attorney is made in June 2011 in Uttar Pradesh, can it be registered in current date.

If it can be registered in current date, it would be valid for Sale of Property.

Please help.

regsitration has to be done within 4 months of execution . if not done within 4 months further time of 4 months is given on payment of penalty. in your case 18 months have passed .

if it is only notarized not registered but made in June, 2011, is it valid for sale of property and valid for legal action.

have specific power of attorney made for particular property . have it duly stamped and regd . then you cna sell the property

The supreme court has made it clear in a very recent decision that there is no expiry date of stamp paper.

GPA is fully valid as on day and it can be got registered even on today and if it contains the power to sale only then its holder can use that power.
