Not giving original certificates

Hello sir
myself Trivikram from Andhra Pradesh, i studied Btech in the academic year 2017-2021 , i was cleared all the dues in my college .
i asked my certifictes back which iam submitted at joining time .but the college management didnot responding properly ,so many times i called to the staff and once i approached the head oofice also which belongs to our college they are also helpless ,i got so much mental disturbance and irritated by college staff behaviour .
please anyone help me to way out of these.

in your given fact, submit your representation regarding need of your certificate to the College Authority. even thereafter the college authority will not response, then lodge a consumer complaint before the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission. you will get relief with cost and compensation.

You are entitled to get original documents from college and inspite of repeated reminders documents are not returning to you back amounts deficiency in their services.File complaint against college management before District Consumer Commission and claim your original documents and compensation towards mental and physical agony caused to you.

If the college authorities are retaining the certificates without any valid reason, you can issue a legal notice demanding the same within a time frame as stipulated in the notice.
In a big relief to students, the Karnataka High Court has ruled that no college/university has the authority to retain original documents of any individual or students. These documents include mark sheets or degree certificates.
the college cannot compel you to pay the entire term fees and hold back the original certificates as ransom, this is highly illegal, you can complain to the Director of Education, , in addition you can send the principle a legal notice directing them to return back the originals after which you can plan to escalate the matter through legal sources.

Higher Educational Institutions cannot demand fees for more than one semester/year. So alao, they cannot retain original certificates.
