can an ACCUSED deposit the cheq amount at the time of cross examination in the court .
and can the complaint settled without the approve of the complainant.

case titled "Damodar S Prabhu versus Sayyad Babalal H" hon'ble Supreme Court has provided the scheme that the accused can deposit the amount of cheque along with 10% penality in the court if the complainant is not agree to accept the payment of cheque.
