My wife was earning 15000 Per Month before marriage. After marriage she is not working. My total salary is 13000 Per Month. My father is retired govt. employee and pension holder. My mother is also govt employee. We have our own home. My elder sister is also married.
I have no liability. Pls let me know what can be the maximum amount I could have to pay as monthly maintenance. I have no children as my wife left my home after one month of marriage and we never had physical relation.

I do not think the court should award more than Rs 5000/- pm as maintenance.

Depends upon the merits of case it may be 1/3 of pay.

If your wife is educated and employable then you should raise it to be a fact in defence that she has deliberately left her employment just to tax you intentionally proving which either very nominal sum or even no maintenance award at all may arise as a chance.

As your wife was in employment prior to marriage and not thereafter so you cannot get rid of your liability to maintain her. The maintenance amount can be not more than Rs. 5,000/- in the given facts.
