is such a settlements is valid is there is any law to void this move
Devajyoti Barman (Expert) 10 July 2011
Any body can waive her legal rights if he or she chooses.
If you all make a mutual partition deed where the daughter in law relinquishes her share in the property then no problem but if she is not ready then she can not be deprived of her husbands share.
Advocate. Arunagiri (Expert) 10 July 2011
The widow is having right to get share in the properties.
prabhakar singh (Expert) 10 July 2011
''my mother wants''YOUR THESE WORDS SUGGEST YOUR MOTHER IS ALIVE AND YOUR WORDS ''my mother(Hindu) properties from her father ''SUGGEST ME THAT YOUR "MOTHER" IS EXCLUSIVE OWNER OF PROPERTIES ''agricultural land''INHERITED BY HER FROM HER FATHER.

CONSUMING THESE FACTS IN MIND I OPINE THAT \\YOUR MOTHER IS AT HER SWEET WILL TO DECIDE THAT WHO AMONG YOU WILL GET WHO WILL NOT//.

Advocate Bhartesh goyal (Expert) 10 July 2011
Mr Prabhakar is absolutely right.your mother inherited properties from her father so she is exclusive owner of said propertyies and can gif and transfer as per her sweet will.
