I am studying b.tech now..can i study b.a through distance education simultaneouslty?

Hello
Im a student of B.tech now..as per new ugc decision a student can study one degree through regular mode and one degree simultaneously through distance education..Is that true? am i eligible to apply for B.A in any open university? If so,wat all certificates do i need to submit while applying for open degree? i only have xerox as i submit all my certificates in my engineering college..Please help

yes you can do 2 courses simultaneously . if you have submitted all your certificates to your engineering college after scrutiny the certicates must be retuned to you
