what are the requirement to became notary public and how can we apply for that.

10 years of standing as a practising lawyer then apply to the ministry of law (union of India).

well exact documentation necessary in the present context can be sought from the ministry itself.

eithere check their website from www.india.gov.in or write to the ministry.....u can seek help of some local notary.

As far as my knowledge is concerned you have to write a test. Isnt it??

To become notary public the applicant must have 10 years experience in bar is necessary whereas in case the applicant belonging to OBC SC St 7 years experience is enough. You have to apply to the central government under notaries act.

Your bar council or the law department of the state, will maintain and organise for your appointment of Notary. You can approach the law department.

Notary public are appoited by central Govt. as well as by state Govt.

Experience is same as stated by Mr. Arun Prakash.

You have to apply seperatelly to the ministry of law of respective Govt.
