Pay protection for ex servicemen

(Querist) 18 February 2015 This query is : Resolved
I WISH TO KNOW FROM EXPERTS THAT I HAVE BEEN RETIRED FROM INDIAN NAVY AFTER 20 YEARS AND AGAIN ENROLLED IN PUNJAB STATE GOVT JOB IN FOOD AND CIVIL SUPPLIES AS FOOD INSPECTOR. DO I HAVE AN ADVANTAGE OF PAY PROTECTION FOR EX SERVICEMEN IN STATE GOVT JOB AS COMPARED TO OTHER NATIONALIZED BANKS AND LIC.
P. Venu (Expert) 19 February 2015
Such pay protection could be possible, if re-employed in Central Government service, only if you forego the pension being received and refund the pensionary benefits received. Please verify whether the State Government rules are similar.

State Government service conditions need to be referred. Consult senior / retired HR people or local lawyer expert in state service rules.
T. Kalaiselvan, Advocate (Expert) 20 February 2015
In certain organisations pay protection of ex-servicemen will be available to the extent of all the allowances too, example, in LIC bank and few corporate sectors. However in certain government establishments, the pay protection will be restricted to the last pay drawn equal to basic pay, DA, HRA and CCA allowance etc alone. You may verify from the regulation in this regard from the establishment/administrative section of your organisation and stake your claim to your eligibility.
