Problem regarding change in dob

(Querist) 20 July 2013 This query is : Resolved
sir,
I have an issue regarding date of birth in my passport. Actually, my date of birth in the birth certificate is 21st june 1992. I have changed it while joining in school to 21st may 1992 and all of my certificates (cbse 10th, cbse 12th, degree certificate, identity card, driving license etc... ) have my date of birth as 21st may 1992. now, i have applied and i got my passport with date of birth 21st june 1992.
Please tell me whether it could create any trouble for me for going to abroad?? actually i wish to work in abroad as an engineer.
Is it necessary to chage the certificates ????
Now What should i do to make my dob consistent??? and which dob should i choose?

why/how DOB was changed.
Rajendra K Goyal (Expert) 20 July 2013
When the DOB is wrongly entered in the passport due to a clerical error, it can be corrected. The requirement in such cases is that it should be possible to ascertain from the files of the concerned Passport Office that it was indeed due to a clerical error.
need to produce two different (unconnected) documents in support of the date of birth claimed as correct. They could be: [i] Birth Certificate [ii] School Certificate
Otherwise make an application for an additional booklet with a declaratory order passed by a First Class Judicial Magistrate directing the Passport Office to amend the date of birth. This is an essential requirement.

You have changed the DOB for your convenience. Passport office was not at mistake. They have shown what was in the SSC certificate. Now all your documents show the second date.
You will not face any problem as passport is final document abroad. No one asks you to produce birth certificate if you have SSC certificate.

Typographic error can be got corrected at any time may it be on the passport on any other document.

it is not a typographic error and also not a clerical one. the problem was arised only due to the new rule came for those who born after 1989. i was born on 1992 june 21st. and i have changed the dob for my convinience during my school admission.
the problem is, the dob in my passport and my sslc certificate are different. my passport contains the date of birth that is printed in my birth certificate. i dont have any supportive documents other than birth certificate for cross verification if necessary.
i also want to know whether any companies deny my job application due to this error.

Dr. Jyothi Vishwanath (Expert) 21 July 2013
Indian companies will appoint you on the basis of birth certificate or SSC. They dont demand passport. Companies abroad may raise issues regarding this.
