refund of match ticket fee

We have purchased 125 tickets for a cricket match in Delhi for IPL 20-20 under corporate booking @ 500/- per ticket and paid via DD.

As the match was wash out by rain and not a single ball was played.

Initially it was informed that ticket price will be refunded or discout will be provided for other match but late it was decided by the authority not to do any of the above.

can we ask a refund for the same?
Please advise.

You can ask for the same, first write to them about your refund and place your claim for refund. On the basis of reply you get, you can take further recourse.

you stated taht "Initially it was informed that ticket price will be refunded or discout will be provided for other match" if there is proof surely you can demand for the refund and it always depend on the contract enterd between you and the authorities.
