Pagdi system related

Hi i have a flat on pagdi system for the past 25 years, and have rented that flat to a 3rd party recently 6 months ago, now the landlord is forcing the third party to vacate the flat and forcing us to sell that flat to the landlord. I wanted to know can a landlord do this and what other actions can he take as i heard that he has filed some suit against us and planning to evict us from that flat. What rights do i have and how can i save this flat?

All in all you are a tenant and you do not have right to induct a sub lessee in premises
without consent of the land lord. Better recover back the possession in your hand denying charges of land lord that you have sublet.
