Undivided property

sir,

if the property is ancestral property( house) and it is undivided,and if one the member of the family wants to do construction on that property, then how that property can be divided among other members of the family.

would the money which is spent on the construction get dissolve in the undivided interest of the family and the person who has spent money on the construction would only get the his share in the property .

The money thrown in the common hotch pot shall merge in the ancestral property and the person will get only his share and not the amount of construction over and above his share in the property.
