Advice needed-signed on revenue stamp

Taken loan from one of my friend ,he has taken signature on blank paper with revenue stamp(signed on revenue stamp),and Cheque Had taken 70k.. till now had paid more then 1lakh 50 k still he is demanding that there is 70k balance .can i go on leagal ground for support .Had given a cheque too but that account is non operative .
Please advice what i need to do for closing this problem

You have not spelt amount and period of loan?
Who gave cheque to chow and why?

When did you take the loan of 70K. Was that paper dated? This is necessary to know because period of limitation is 3 years.
Secondly, when you say that you have repaid more than 1.5 lakhs, how did you make the payment by cheque or by cash?
This is necessary to know, because if you have paid through cheque you will be in a position to prove. In case of repayment by cash, unless you had got the same endorsed on the paper on which you originally signed, or you obtained a receipt from your friend, it will be very difficult for you to prove.
Your present post lacks all these material facts, for any one to give any meaningful answer.

Issue notice that you paid his 75k, and also another 75k by way of interest, but you had neither returned by cheque, nor returned a blank revenue stamp receipt, nor you issue any receipt of my 1.5L pad to you.
So immediately return my cheque , receipt, and issue me receipt of my payments. Send a Copy to Police Station/ I Tax

If you have no writing in your favour about the deposit of your blank cheque with him then issue a notice to him to return the cueque mentioning therein entire sequence of events.
