Whether after filing a divorce (MAT) petition it can be amended ( the whole petition)? The suit is just filed and other party has been given notice. It is intended to amend the whole petition on the next date (that is the third date given by the court).
Please guide about the procedure. What should be the format of the amendment?

The court may at any stage of the proceeding allow either party to alter or ament his pleadings in such manner and such terms as may be just, and all such amendments shall be made as may be necessary for the purpose of determining the real questions in controversy between the parties.

Yes. You may make an application U/o 6 Rule 17 for required amendments in your petition. the application should be supported by an affidavit. After the permission of the court you may incorporate the pleadings.
