my query is can land which is already converted to non agricultural and now is in same status ,can such land be acquired by maharashtra industrial development corp ,in maharashtra?

For Land acquisition Proceedings - the nature of the land may not be criteria - the Requirement of the Govt to acquire any private property is to be considered - Any House property can also be acquired in the process of proceedings in including approved lay out House Plots Etc! If it is with in the Notified extent -land

Please go through Land Acquisition Act 1894.

If notification has been there in consonance with the Act, then there is no power to interfere with the executive action and if there is some lacunae then executive action can be curtailed by the Court.

Yes. The nature of the land is of no consequence. It is the prerogative of the government to acquire for public purposes, if the land is suitable.

Agreed wit the view of the Experts, it is on the discretion of the government that which one land is suitable for the acquisition, in the interest of general public.
