Change the advocate. Court will grant time to change the lawyer. Issue notice to the lawyer terminating his service and engage another lawyer.

Give a letter to the court stating that you are withdrawing the advocate. The court will allow you to withdraw the advocate. Then ask your new advocate to file a new vakkalath or appear as party in person. You can appoint a new advocate at any point of time subsequently.

But you have to pay arrears so just agree and ask for time to pay. You may even get facility of payment on a spread of time , since society is interested in recovery of dues.
